Shao Hui Li could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Miguel Ángel Santoro made a huge save. Shao Hui Li took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Ángel Santoro. Miguel Ángel Santoro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a little luck, C. A. Miguel Ángel Santoro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conrad Carrington in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean-Paul Daalmeyer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miguel Ángel Santoro was a little too slow when Shao Hui Li got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 3-1. Miguel Ángel Santoro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shao Hui Li in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodney Urbina was the one to do the kick off. C. A. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Underdogs the free kick. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Guy Becerra hit a great ball. In the 70th match minute, C. A. Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guy Becerra to maneuver through the defense. After 71 minutes of play, The Underdogs's Gerard van den Eede made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miguel Ángel Santoro was left in no man's land by his defense there! 75 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard van den Eede came free, but Miguel Ángel Santoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80thth minute of the game Gerard van den Eede who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. Independiente's Miguel Ángel Santoro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, C. A. Independiente's Conrad Carrington got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerard van den Eede in the 81st minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Miguel Ángel Santoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gerard van den Eede came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the The Underdogs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerard van den Eede couldn't finish the play. The Underdogs were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of C. A. Independiente for a fine match.
