Spectators: 8053 (Terracing: 6041, Seating: 1852, VIP seats: 160) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fred Lara got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute, Diguinho Gaúcho made a precise shot to the right of La Para. FC Lugano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 14th minute Diguinho Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but La Para saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Lugano's La Para played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lambis Chotard in the 19th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, David Seaman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. David Seaman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Lugano's La Para played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lambis Chotard in the 31st minute of play. Yusuf Ziya Cerit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute Fred Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Seaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nereo Precioso came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the FC Lugano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Precioso couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Lambis Chotard came free, but La Para reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lambis Chotard to make the kick off. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Precioso, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 58 minutes AnÐaRaHy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Julio Palluzzi who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Yusuf Ziya Cerit got away a dangerous shot. Despite this David Seaman quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 62nd minute Jack Saunders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Seaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Lara struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. David Seaman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Lugano. FC Lugano made a substitution. Vico Sticher replaced Igor Linares. FC Lugano's Jakub Waselenczuk was substituted for Jack Saunders. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jakub Waselenczuk in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Seaman saved AnÐaRaHy from getting behind. 75 minutes into the match, AnÐaRaHy's goal looked a bit too open when Yusuf Ziya Cerit came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Klas Tingelholm scored 1-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Seaman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. La Para made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lambis Chotard in the 88th minute of play. FC Lugano's La Para played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lambis Chotard in the 92nd minute of play. AnÐaRaHy succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FC Lugano had controlled the match.
