In the 6th minute of the match Säfvahöjden got a corner. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rogério Ramalho ran over to the corner to take the kick. 10 minutes into the match, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Jonasson came free, but Alisson Goycochea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alisson Goycochea came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Säfvahöjden's Pan Yan Rong. But to his dismay, Pan Yan Rong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute Pan Yan Rong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Goycochea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Fred Valencia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Szczepan Adamus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA! An unexpectedly hard shot by Pan Yan Rong in the 30th minute of play forced INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goalkeeper Alisson Goycochea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonel Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucas Head Son sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pan Yan Rong in the 42nd minute of play forced INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goalkeeper Alisson Goycochea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pan Yan Rong in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alisson Goycochea saved INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA from getting behind. A collision led to Säfvahöjden getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ragnar Öfverman hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Rogério Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA booed when Säfvahöjden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ragnar Öfverman didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Head Son was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Lucas Head Son shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Szczepan Adamus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Szczepan Adamus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fred Valencia went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Lucas Head Son sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Head Son's late challenge caught a Säfvahöjden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Head Son helped the player get up and apologised. Lucas Head Son kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Säfvahöjden's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Head Son came free, but Szczepan Adamus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Franklin Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Säfvahöjden made a substitution. Ataulfo Diosdado replaced Pan Yan Rong. After a rather tough play, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Franklin Velloso got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute, Ataulfo Diosdado made a precise shot to the right of Alisson Goycochea. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Nilmar de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goalkeeper Alisson Goycochea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goal looked a bit too open when Ataulfo Diosdado came free, but Alisson Goycochea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ataulfo Diosdado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Säfvahöjden supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Säfvahöjden would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
