Omar Duardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixten Sjö, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sixten Sjö might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Omar Duardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolás Castillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Garcia having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sixten Sjö in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Omar Duardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joan Carrasco hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Ronny Nilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jonsereds IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronny Nilsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Omar Duardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Vancouver Reds booed when Jonsereds IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Rufio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hans Kilstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Jonsereds IF's Sixten Sjö sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Omar Duardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gil Garcia made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Sima Marinković sent off a good shot on target. Luca Frântu hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Jonsereds IF's Gil Garcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Jonsereds IF from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Sixten Sjö managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jonsereds IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixten Sjö was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Omar Duardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gil Garcia stood somewhat misplaced when Sima Marinković came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 44 minute. Maxwell Eddy kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sixten Sjö stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Maxwell Eddy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Folke Wahlström hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Jonsereds IF's Gil Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxwell Eddy in the 57th minute of play. Omar Duardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Kilstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Ronny Nilsson kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Vancouver Reds made a substitution. Macnelly Torres replaced Sima Marinković. In the 62nd match minute, Jonsereds IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronny Nilsson to maneuver through the defense. After 64 minutes of play, Vancouver Reds's Macnelly Torres made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gil Garcia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gil Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Macnelly Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Vancouver Reds's Isiah Hinkle was substituted for Amédée Gillis. In the 74th minute, Harry Tham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vancouver Reds's Love Svensson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Harry Tham, made in the 75th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the match, Jonsereds IF's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolás Castillo came free, but Gil Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Kilstedt came free, but Omar Duardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gil Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Macnelly Torres in the 82nd minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Macnelly Torres notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Jonsereds IF's Gil Garcia. Gil Garcia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Billy Oja was slow to take the kick. During this time Vancouver Reds's players had a chance to rest. Vancouver Reds's Billy Oja was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gil Garcia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 95 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Kilstedt came free, but Omar Duardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Hans Kilstedt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Omar Duardo was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vancouver Reds had won after a very even match.
