In the 14thth minute of the game Palle Paalgard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Virtual Aces's Frederick Van Gorp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Palle Paalgard got free with Frederick Van Gorp in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 19 minutes, Qian Qing mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Virtual Aces and the FC Hackspett U21 players grew even worse after the yellow card. 20 minutes into the match, Virtual Aces's goal looked a bit too open when Palle Paalgard came free, but Frederick Van Gorp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Bruno Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virtual Aces's Frederick Van Gorp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Virtual Aces from getting a goal against them. Palle Paalgard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Frederick Van Gorp made a huge save. Sergio Goycochea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qian Qing in the 29th minute of play. Virtual Aces's Frederick Van Gorp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Palle Paalgard in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Johan Mjällby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Palle Paalgard reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frederick Van Gorp. The goal made the score 1-0. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivar Brask stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Hackspett U21's Sergio Goycochea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save FC Hackspett U21 from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Palle Paalgard in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frederick Van Gorp saved Virtual Aces from getting behind. After 75 minutes, Palle Paalgard made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Virtual Aces's Frederick Van Gorp tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, Palle Paalgard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 82 minutes, Palle Paalgard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Hackspett U21's supporters crossed their fingers, but Palle Paalgard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The throw-in from Bruno Medeiros in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Hackspett U21's Fred Ånger. The crowd rose to their feet as Qian Qing kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sergio Goycochea. That made the score 2-2 in the 90 minute of play. Sergio Goycochea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Petersson in the 94th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Virtual Aces players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
