In the 22nd minute, Claude Montens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zabulón Carabajal had in the 36thth minute some difficulties stopping Victor Petersson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Erik Deckkers hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, FC Klavertje Vier's goal looked a bit too open when Johan Mjällby came free, but Zabulón Carabajal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute of the match Virtual Aces got a corner. FC Klavertje Vier's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
