The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Hackspett U21's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jarl Axelsson 9 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Sundborn IF's Emil Duset played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Palle Paalgard in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Salah in the 15th minute of play forced FC Hackspett U21's goalkeeper Sergio Goycochea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sergio Goycochea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Arenstedt in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to FC Hackspett U21 getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. The supporters of FC Hackspett U21 booed when Sundborn IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Axel Klint didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Ånger struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Emil Duset didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Hackspett U21. After 29 played minutes Sundborn IF got a freekick which was hit by Jan Bocklund. After 30 played minutes, FC Hackspett U21's Fred Ånger shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emil Duset came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Hackspett U21 reached it. Jan Bocklund made in the 32nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Mohamed Salah immediately put the ball in play. Bamsi Bonk's late challenge caught a Sundborn IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bamsi Bonk helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th minute, Bamsi Bonk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stellan Wallmark who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Sergio Goycochea when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 38th match minute, Sundborn IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Axel Klint to maneuver through the defense. In the game's 39th minute FC Hackspett U21's Fred Ånger took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Emil Duset and thus the score was 1-1. 42 minutes into the match, Sundborn IF's goal looked a bit too open when Palle Paalgard came free, but Emil Duset reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, FC Hackspett U21's Palle Paalgard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emil Duset narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivar Brask was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stellan Wallmark in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sergio Goycochea saved FC Hackspett U21 from getting behind. 53 minutes into the match, FC Hackspett U21's goal looked a bit too open when Stellan Wallmark came free, but Sergio Goycochea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 minutes, Mikael Lustig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Hackspett U21 and the Sundborn IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Palle Paalgard couldn't finish the play. Sundborn IF's Sven Lind was substituted for Mohamed Salah. Sergio Goycochea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarl Axelsson in the 76th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, Sundborn IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Arenstedt to maneuver through the defense. Emil Duset took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Palle Paalgard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jarl Axelsson in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sergio Goycochea prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
