Spectators: 7998 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) Andrew Miggiani made the kick off and thus started the match. 6 minutes into the game, Reuben Caruana threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC MCM's Dan Turcu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 9th match minute, FC MCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tudor Gâgea to maneuver through the defense. Tudor Gâgea kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Shen Jian Song's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clayton Gerada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goal looked a bit too open when Shen Jian Song came free, but Clayton Gerada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Seraċini Għawdxin's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olimpiu Şimoc was slow to take the kick. During this time FC MCM's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Olimpiu Şimoc got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Clayton Gerada quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 31 minutes of play FC MCM's Tudor Gâgea was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrew Miggiani got free with Manuel Tufescu in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Tufescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Seychell in the 35th minute. Andrew Miggiani kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Andrew Miggiani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Manuel Tufescu made a huge save. FC MCM's Manuel Tufescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoine Bugelli in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

FC MCM made a substitution. Amaury Hulsen replaced Shen Jian Song. The wind increased when Amaury Hulsen made the kick off in the second half. Manuel Tufescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Buttigieg in the 55th minute of the match. Manuel Tufescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew Miggiani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wayne Schembri Zerafa in the 72nd minute of play forced FC MCM's goalkeeper Manuel Tufescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Tufescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Seychell in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Seraċini Għawdxin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Pavia to maneuver through the defense. Clayton Gerada acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 85th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Leontin Toma. The supporters of FC MCM booed when Seraċini Għawdxin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wayne Schembri Zerafa didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FC MCM getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Zhu Liang Fei hit a great ball. Andrew Miggiani blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Tufescu having to make a save. Manuel Tufescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew Miggiani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, Allan Clementsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC MCM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seraċini Għawdxin the free kick. Allan Clementsson hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
