Tage Deckbergh started the match with the kick off. Doriva Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. 姜青超 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 姜青超 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor de Sena in the 5th minute of play. Victor de Sena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 姜青超 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Waldemar Watarz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Runa United getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Waldemar Watarz hit a great ball. Durval Pitta hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeng Bing Fei in the 30th minute of play forced Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tage Deckbergh got free with Tiaguinho Netto in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the match, Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tage Deckbergh. If Doriva Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 minutes of play, Clube do Remo MZ's Victor de Sena made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 姜青超 was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Doriva Pinho hit a great ball. Runa United's Vincent Sjöö shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 43rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tiaguinho Netto but with some difficulty. Tage Deckbergh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiaguinho Netto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor de Sena to strike the kick off in the second half. Doriva Pinho in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of 姜青超, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tiaguinho Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tage Deckbergh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonso Paraíba charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afonso Paraíba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 57 played minutes Clube do Remo MZ got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Paraíba. Runa United's Valentino Santana was substituted for Vincent Sjöö. Afonso Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Sven-Edvin Paulin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tiaguinho Netto. Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tage Deckbergh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Netto having to interfere. The supporters of Clube do Remo MZ booed when Runa United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tage Deckbergh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Runa United's 姜青超 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Pinho in the 70th minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Runa United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeng Bing Fei to maneuver through the defense. Valentino Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Netto having to interfere. Tiaguinho Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeng Bing Fei in the 88th minute of the match. Valentino Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Tage Deckbergh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
