Donato Baraquiel charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Erasmo Raitin was slow to take the kick. During this time Shuspendemo's players had a chance to rest. Robinho de Salles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ceferino Austin went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ignacio Manuel was the one to do the kick off. Shuspendemo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Baraquiel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Nova Venécia-ES's Joaquim Rezende got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The supporters of Nova Venécia-ES booed when Shuspendemo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Joey didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Shuspendemo support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
