An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Reijnders in the 10th minute of play forced DJK Füchtel Vechta's goalkeeper Adriano Tolin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Jorge Reijnders managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kickers United's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Reijnders was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriano Tolin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute, Jorge Reijnders ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adriano Tolin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Jorge Reijnders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adriano Tolin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Reijnders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to DJK Füchtel Vechta getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ren Zhan Cheng hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Kickers United's Tomás Firmin tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Reijnders stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Peter Bührer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. DJK Füchtel Vechta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lode Rouvroys was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Lode Rouvroys's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adriano Tolin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Lode Rouvroys made a precise shot to the right of Adriano Tolin. DJK Füchtel Vechta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kickers United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
