The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Thidén in the 10th minute of play forced Tours Football Club's goalkeeper Felix Jovanovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Jovanovic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Barış Yarlık, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 18th minute Tarık Sehhar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Jovanovic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21stth minute of the game Rickard Thidén who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tours Football Club's Felix Jovanovic was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tours Football Club's Felix Jovanovic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Thidén in the 24th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Rickard Thidén cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. In the 36th minute Mustafa Barış Yarlık shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Jovanovic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Jovanovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rickard Thidén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Tours Football Club defense, Tarık Sehhar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felix Jovanovic. The Tours Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felix Jovanovic should have stopped the shot. Willy Sauvestre kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Felix Jovanovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Thidén in the 43rd minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Émeric Giraudo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Sadri Tekdoğan in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Tours Football Club's Blaise Alcaraz. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rickard Thidén in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felix Jovanovic prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as LOI's Rickard Thidén slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Felix Jovanovic. That made the score 0-4 after 55 minutes of play. René Grégori charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed René Grégori the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. LOI made a substitution. Numan Tüzel replaced Şensoy Gülen. Tours Football Club made a substitution. Ibrahim Rault replaced Willy Sauvestre. René Grégori hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Numan Tüzel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Felix Jovanovic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Önder İlsak got free with Felix Jovanovic in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th minute, Önder İlsak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felix Jovanovic was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Felix Jovanovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarık Sehhar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
