The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Strib Galacticos IF's zone, Albertinho Cavalcante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hasan Fuleager came out of the goal and Albertinho Cavalcante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armel Zettiņš made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andres Oper in the 6th minute. Armel Zettiņš showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Oper, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The audience was convinced that Andres Oper's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armel Zettiņš was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Ulysses Romero charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulysses Romero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ulysses Romero hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Vladimiro Theobald scored 1-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armel Zettiņš, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Armel Zettiņš didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andres Oper went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Olivedos's Armel Zettiņš got control of the ball when Andres Oper tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match, Ros Endal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Armel Zettiņš was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Urbano Cevallo struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Armel Zettiņš didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strib Galacticos IF. In the 43rd minute, Andres Oper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armel Zettiņš was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Andres Oper capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andres Oper really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antônio Carlos Valadares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andres Oper in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armel Zettiņš prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Oper in the 55th minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Armel Zettiņš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute Andres Oper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armel Zettiņš saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andres Oper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Strib Galacticos IF made a substitution. Bo Mcquoid replaced Ros Endal. After a rather tough play, Strib Galacticos IF's Andres Oper got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After 66 minutes, Andres Oper made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Olivedos's Armel Zettiņš tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Olivedos's Deivid Cavalcante got a free kick in the 68th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Strib Galacticos IF's Andres Oper sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armel Zettiņš narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Armel Zettiņš came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Strib Galacticos IF's Andres Oper. But to his dismay, Andres Oper quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Strib Galacticos IF's Sonni Engklint was substituted for Asım Arif Akatay. During the 78th minute of the match Ulysses Romero completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ulysses Romero a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 78th minute, Ulysses Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olivedos's Valdemar Braga was substituted for Deivid Cavalcante. Ulysses Romero hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Olivedos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Strib Galacticos IF:s goal. Olivedos:s Armel Zettiņš showed great skill when he stopped Urbano Cevallo:s penalty. Urbano Cevallo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Bo Mcquoid managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strib Galacticos IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Bo Mcquoid was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armel Zettiņš breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Strib Galacticos IF's Bo Mcquoid got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Strib Galacticos IF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
