Verner Hynek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laureano Gimenez, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Lex Academy's Eustaquio Pudes got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Lex Academy defense, Laureano Gimenez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Verner Hynek. The Lex Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Verner Hynek should have stopped the shot. In the 26th minute Roberto Blue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Verner Hynek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xavies Heneses received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Verner Hynek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eustaquio Pudes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Marcelo Rius made a huge save. In the 31st match minute, Lex Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomáš Šobr to maneuver through the defense. A nice corner shot did that Jeremias Pallar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Verner Hynek quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustaquio Pudes got free with Marcelo Rius in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The throw-in from Osvaldo Grados in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Lex Academy's Tomáš Šobr. In a very dangerous position, a player in West Town SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Eustaquio Pudes shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laureano Gimenez to make the kick off. Damián Blue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Verner Hynek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 53 minutes into the match, Lex Academy's goalkeeper Verner Hynek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roberto Caamaño. Eustaquio Pudes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Rius having to interfere. Josef Znamenáček hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Laureano Gimenez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to West Town SC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Laureano Gimenez hit a great ball. Lex Academy's Verner Hynek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Gimenez in the 66th minute of play. Josef Znamenáček's late challenge caught a West Town SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josef Znamenáček helped the player get up and apologised. Josef Znamenáček kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lex Academy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jeremias Pallar was slow to take the kick. During this time West Town SC's players had a chance to rest. Jeremias Pallar made a great header on West Town SC's corner, it was just that Lex Academy's Verner Hynek managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 72nd minute Josef Znamenáček shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Rius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Lex Academy's Xie Chao Yang to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcelo Rius despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. West Town SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
