Urbano Firman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Alberto Cuello fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sacronas Futbol Club's protests and gave Alberto Cuello a yellow card for diving instead. Sacronas Futbol Club's Jorge Iribarren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Sacronas Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute, Igor de Sousa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jorge Iribarren. The goal made the score 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
