Cristinel Bocaneț recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th minute Jan-Erik Lönn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Anghel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Flavius Câmpeanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MIT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Formentera the free kick. Flavius Câmpeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Iacobescu came free, but Justo Estefan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vlad Anghel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Erik Lönn, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Liviu Ciolacu's late challenge caught a Formentera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Liviu Ciolacu helped the player get up and apologised. Liviu Ciolacu hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Vlad Anghel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Hondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th match minute, MIT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leontin Iacobescu to maneuver through the defense. Formentera's Justo Estefan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leontin Iacobescu in the 38th minute of play. Fausto Ronconis short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Vlad Anghel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 43rd minute Leontin Iacobescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Estefan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavius Câmpeanu hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When Fausto Ronconi came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Formentera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Ronconi couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
In the 52ndth minute of the game Fausto Ronconi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MIT's Vlad Anghel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Fausto Ronconi sped through MIT's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vlad Anghel. The supporters of MIT booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Hondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 minutes, Andrei Opincaru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MIT and the Formentera players grew even worse after the yellow card. Andrei Opincaru kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Valer Papadima's late challenge caught a Formentera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valer Papadima helped the player get up and apologised. Formentera's Juan Su was substituted for Ariel Libertad. In the 68th match minute, MIT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Papadima to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Fausto Ronconi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fausto Ronconi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute Liviu Ciolacu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Estefan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Formentera's Justo Estefan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Formentera from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Sabin Eniceicu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vlad Anghel came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Formentera's Fausto Ronconi. But to his dismay, Fausto Ronconi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Justino Hondo kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcu Voitiş got free with Justo Estefan in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of MIT booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Ignatius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Formentera were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of MIT for a fine match.
