But to his dismay, Nechifor Beșliu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Scobioalã in the 21st minute of play forced Eintracht Cernavoda's goalkeeper Halil Utku Evvah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. UFC Puturoasa were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Eintracht Cernavoda's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexei Caraman took the corner. The corner led UFC Puturoasa's Alexei Caraman to fire away a dangerous shot which Halil Utku Evvah despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Eintracht Cernavoda's Nechifor Beșliu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Alberto Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The UFC Puturoasa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Eintracht Cernavoda were winning 0-2.

The audience was convinced that Emil Scobioalã's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Halil Utku Evvah was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. 78 minutes into the match, UFC Puturoasa's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gigel Gologan. Eintracht Cernavoda's Halil Utku Evvah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexei Caraman in the 97th minute of play. Eintracht Cernavoda's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
