Carlos Alberto Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remco de Nooter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Salgado having to interfere. Carlos Alberto Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Jamieson in the 9th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mathis Van Eede during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of UFC Puturoasa booed when SK Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathis Van Eede didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnny Oyen hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute Jacky Jamieson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, UFC Puturoasa's goal looked a bit too open when Jacky Jamieson came free, but Carlos Alberto Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Jamieson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexei Caraman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Anton Volders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, UFC Puturoasa's Marco Jamieson threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emil Scobioalã, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The SK Gullegem fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when SK Gullegem's Remco de Nooter looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. With a little luck, SK Gullegem's Marco Jamieson got control of the ball when Alexei Caraman tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, SK Gullegem's Carlos Alberto Salgado threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Will Jamieson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. SK Gullegem's Marco Jamieson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Vanghele in the 61st minute of play. Carlos Alberto Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remco de Nooter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Remco de Nooter managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Gullegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Remco de Nooter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Alberto Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emil Scobioalã fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Jamieson having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Pavel Spãtaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute Emil Scobioalã shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Jamieson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Alberto Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Will Jamieson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emil Scobioalã took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Jamieson. Marco Jamieson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in SK Gullegem's zone, Alexei Caraman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Jamieson came out of the goal and Alexei Caraman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. UFC Puturoasa's Carlos Alberto Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save UFC Puturoasa from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd match minute, SK Gullegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Volders to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute of the game Michael Verhaeghen made a throw-in which Johnny Oyen played forward. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
