Patagonia's Tobias Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Hondo in the 4th minute of play. After 9 minutes, Justino Hondo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Formentera and the Social y Dep. Patagonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Formentera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Hondo to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Formentera's goalkeeper Justo Estefan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inocencio Pinto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atanas Cholakov in the 11th minute of play forced Formentera's goalkeeper Justo Estefan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Formentera's Justo Estefan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ioan Şerban in the 12th minute of play. Tobias Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Lönn in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Social y Dep. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Lönn came free, but Tobias Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Erik Lönn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Formentera's Justo Estefan got control of the ball when Ioan Şerban tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute, Jan-Erik Lönn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Formentera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inocencio Pinto got free with Justo Estefan in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the game, Inocencio Pinto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Social y Dep. Patagonia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Formentera the free kick. After 31 played minutes Social y Dep. Patagonia got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Pinto. Jan-Erik Lönn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Tobias Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ioan Şerban in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justo Estefan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Social y Dep. Patagonia's Marco Oliviero got a free kick in the 36th minute. Social y Dep. Patagonia's Tobias Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Erik Lönn in the 38th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardo Ignatius during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 40 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Ignatius. Tobias Faro went to the wrong direction when Justino Hondo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The Social y Dep. Patagonia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Formentera were winning 0-1.

Justo Estefan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ioan Şerban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 52nd minute, Bernardo Ignatius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justo Estefan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ioan Şerban went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Raymundo in the 59th minute of play forced Formentera's goalkeeper Justo Estefan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Mattin replaced Marco Oliviero. After 74 minutes, Atanas Cholakov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Social y Dep. Patagonia's Tobias Faro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Social y Dep. Patagonia from getting a goal against them. Bernardo Ignatius made in the 81st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Geronimo Silviano immediately put the ball in play. When Osvaldo Sugar fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Formentera's protests and gave Osvaldo Sugar a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Sugar. A sloppy throw-in by Bernardo Ignatius in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Social y Dep. Patagonia's Marcelo Mattin. Osvaldo Sugar kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Jose Garikoitz missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 89 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Justo Estefan right hand side. In the 92nd minute, Carlos Alberto Dely Valdés ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Justo Estefan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Social y Dep. Patagonia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Formentera had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
