The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marco Jamieson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Åke Söderquist in the 3rd minute of the match. Hawk Tuah FC's Triantafyllos í Lon Jacobsen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Michael Verhaeghen, made in the 4th minute of the game. 6 minutes into the match, SK Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Rikard Klint came free, but Marco Jamieson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SK Gullegem booed when Hawk Tuah FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Sandell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Åke Söderquist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Jamieson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl-Åke Söderquist in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Jamieson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Karl-Åke Söderquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SK Gullegem's Anton Volders quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Herman Dahlman, made in the 27th minute of the game. Marco Jamieson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Åke Söderquist in the 28th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Stefan Sandell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hawk Tuah FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Gullegem the free kick. Marco Jamieson made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Karl-Åke Söderquist sent off a good shot on target. Holer Nolan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Volders in the 32nd minute of play. When Karl-Åke Söderquist came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Hawk Tuah FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Åke Söderquist couldn't finish the play. SK Gullegem's Marco Jamieson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save SK Gullegem from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd match minute, SK Gullegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Verhaeghen to maneuver through the defense. Karl-Åke Söderquist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Marco Jamieson made a huge save. After 47 minutes of play, Hawk Tuah FC's Karl-Åke Söderquist made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Jamieson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hawk Tuah FC made a substitution. Marcial Montrell replaced Sakarias Linberg. Hawk Tuah FC's Evaristo Sasoin was substituted for Karl-Åke Söderquist. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

54 minutes into the match, SK Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Montrell came free, but Marco Jamieson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hubert Ahlquist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute, Johannes Sjöberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Remco de Nooter managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Gullegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Remco de Nooter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Holer Nolan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 61 minutes of play, Hawk Tuah FC's Marcial Montrell made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Jamieson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marco Jamieson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Montrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. SK Gullegem's Marco Jamieson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Sasoin in the 68th minute of play. In the 89th minute SK Gullegem were awarded a corner. Remco de Nooter went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SK Gullegem's goalkeeper Marco Jamieson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to SK Gullegem getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Anton Volders hit a great ball. Hawk Tuah FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
