After 22 minutes AKS Kozienice's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thiago van Dijk who took care of the corner kick. Brothers of Mercy's Thiago van Dijk was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Szczepan Jazowski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Szczepan Jazowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Elg in the 30th minute of play. Lucjan Burufski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Alexandre Pires made a huge save. In the 40th minute AKS Kozienice were awarded a corner. Lucjan Burufski went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on AKS Kozienice's corner Lucjan Burufski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alexandre Pires quite easily take care of the ball. Cyprian Witwickis short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Alexandre Pires to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 40 minutes, Bengt-Rune Strömbom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brothers of Mercy and the AKS Kozienice players grew even worse after the yellow card. A sloppy throw-in by Lyazzide Ruperto in the 93rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Brothers of Mercy's Valentin Kellbom. José Maria Couto made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Brothers of Mercy's Bengt-Rune Strömbom.
