After 10 minutes, Leszek Tuliszewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Käka Puck BK and the Brothers of Mercy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leszek Tuliszewski kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Victor Sundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Öfverman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Käka Puck BK's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Rune Strömbom came free, but Victor Sundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Käka Puck BK's Victor Sundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Rune Strömbom in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Bengt-Rune Strömbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Sundström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Sundström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Öfverman in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Elg in the 28th minute of play forced Käka Puck BK's goalkeeper Victor Sundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th match minute, Käka Puck BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Törnblom to maneuver through the defense. Ulf Öfverman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Sundström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Victor Sundström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Öfverman, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute of the match Brothers of Mercy got a corner. Käka Puck BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thiago van Dijk ran over to the corner to take the kick. 38 minutes into the match, Käka Puck BK's Mikael Bengtsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Pires narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Brothers of Mercy fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Brothers of Mercy's Bengt-Rune Strömbom looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half Brothers of Mercy were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bengt-Rune Strömbom was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Käka Puck BK defense, Ulf Öfverman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victor Sundström. The Käka Puck BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victor Sundström should have stopped the shot. Brothers of Mercy's Alexandre Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Törnblom in the 63rd minute of play. In the 69th minute Ulf Öfverman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Sundström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonatan Pilblad hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Goliath Pequeño took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandre Pires. Alexandre Pires dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Brothers of Mercy's Alexandre Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Törnblom in the 82nd minute of play. Alexandre Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Törnblom in the 86th minute of play. Victor Sundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Öfverman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandre Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Goliath Pequeño, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute, Ulf Öfverman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Mats Elg had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 96 played minutes Käka Puck BK got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Pilblad. Through an outstanding action, after 97 minutes, Victor Sundström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match was over Brothers of Mercy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Käka Puck BK throughout the match.
