An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Gitano in the 21st minute of play forced Legia Warszawa 【L】's goalkeeper Teobald Bator to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teobald Bator took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Gitano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafal Augustyniak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martinez Maravilha having to make a save. 27 minutes into the game, Karol Czerniejewski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martinez Maravilha. Karol Czerniejewski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Martinez Maravilha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karol Czerniejewski in the 30th minute of the match. Teobald Bator showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Gitano in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute Aurelio Harriet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teobald Bator saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, one of Legia Warszawa 【L】:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 40th minute, Wilfredo Gitano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teobald Bator was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Jarana FC's Martinez Maravilha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szymon Grunwalski in the 51st minute of play. 52 minutes into the game, Zeledon Hermon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jarana FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Legia Warszawa 【L】 the free kick. After having played for 57 minutes, Szymon Grunwalski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Legia Warszawa 【L】's supporters crossed their fingers, but Szymon Grunwalski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Szymon Grunwalski might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martinez Maravilha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Szymon Grunwalski ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute Szymon Grunwalski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martinez Maravilha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Aleksander Teofila fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legia Warszawa 【L】's protests and gave Aleksander Teofila a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jarana FC booed when Legia Warszawa 【L】 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksander Teofila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Legia Warszawa 【L】's Tạ Mara quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Paolo Fernendo, made in the 86th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilfredo Gitano got free with Teobald Bator in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Aurelio Harriet came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Jarana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Harriet couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Jarana FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Angelo Di María hit a great ball.
