When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gualterio Quilo made a kick off. With his leg Arthur Bufi managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Pendex's Gualterio Quilo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marcelino Ermengol's late challenge caught a Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
