Marcello Lewandowski started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Marcelo Carracedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 4 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Lea Papá's goalkeeper José Maria Buljubasich had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedrinho Figueiredo. Alejo Veliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Faria scored 1-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Maria Buljubasich, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14th minute Alejo Veliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Maria Buljubasich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcello Lewandowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With a little luck, Club Atlético Lea Papá's José Maria Buljubasich got control of the ball when Cristiano Faria tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Lea Papá's goalkeeper José Maria Buljubasich, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Tribos's Marcello Lewandowski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Maria Buljubasich. That made the score 2-0 after 28 minutes of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Tribos's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Veliz came free, but Edvin van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Faria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but José Maria Buljubasich made a huge save. In the 46th minute, Cristiano Faria fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of José Maria Buljubasich, passed just outside the right post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alejo Veliz to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Club Atlético Lea Papá got a freekick which was hit by Arnie Ocaña. The audience was convinced that Marcello Lewandowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Maria Buljubasich was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Tribos made a substitution. Zé Paulo da Fonseca replaced Marcel Urbano. In the 69th minute Marcello Lewandowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Buljubasich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvin van der Saar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alejo Veliz's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Washington Camacho hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atlético Lea Papá players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tribos.
