After a defensive mix-up in Strömsbro IF's zone, Ronaldo Joinvilense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis-Miguel Camara came out of the goal and Ronaldo Joinvilense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th minute, Marcelinho Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the game, Galo do Japi's Joel Catarinense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luis-Miguel Camara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Joel Catarinense notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Strömsbro IF's Luis-Miguel Camara. Luis-Miguel Camara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luis-Miguel Camara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Catarinense in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Joel Catarinense made a precise shot to the right of Luis-Miguel Camara. Strömsbro IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 21 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Örjan Frisk. 24 minutes into the match, Galo do Japi's goal looked a bit too open when Örjan Frisk came free, but Delfim Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 28 in the game by Tony Skarkman from a close distance when the talented Delfim Chaves managed to make a qualified save. Galo do Japi's players were relieved. Galo do Japi's Roberto Neiva quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Harry Blom, made in the 30th minute of the game. Luis-Miguel Camara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute, Fernandinho Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Örjan Frisk in the 34th minute really tested Delfim Chaves's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Joinvilense in the 38th minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Luis-Miguel Camara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Luis-Miguel Camara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Galo do Japi were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Örjan Frisk made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Joel Catarinense took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Luis-Miguel Camara to make any attempt to save it. Luis-Miguel Camara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Catarinense in the 55th minute of play. After 57 minutes Strömsbro IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Falcão Duarte who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Galo do Japi's Falcão Duarte to fire away a dangerous shot which Luis-Miguel Camara despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Joel Catarinense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis-Miguel Camara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Strömsbro IF's Luis-Miguel Camara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Strömsbro IF from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Strömsbro IF's Harry Blom got a free kick in the 74th minute. Luis-Miguel Camara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Catarinense in the 79th minute of play. Delfim Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Skarkman in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute Tony Skarkman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Galo do Japi players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
