Romário Gol came free with the goalkeeper in the 4th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fernán Albonico could save by the left post. Lupere FC - DMZ's José Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Don Elias in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romário Gol got free with Fernán Albonico in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernán Albonico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Arne Sandell in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes Barrio Norte FC got a freekick which was hit by Maurín Angulo. Fernán Albonico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Gol in the 21st minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Romário Gol reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernán Albonico. The goal made the score 1-0. Romário Gol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Fernán Albonico made a huge save. The supporters of Barrio Norte FC booed when Lupere FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pio Piovezan didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelo de Souza was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Barrio Norte FC got a freekick which was hit by Telo Metou. Barrio Norte FC's Fernán Albonico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Gol in the 54th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Erivaldo Félix got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fernán Albonico quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fernán Albonico didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romário Gol went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Barrio Norte FC's Jean Paul Cruz was substituted for Cristiano Sabater. Romário Gol might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernán Albonico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romário Gol ran back to his position shaking his head. 65 minutes into the match, Barrio Norte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romário Gol came free, but Fernán Albonico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68thth minute of the game Romário Gol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrio Norte FC's Fernán Albonico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sven-Arne Sandell hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Gilson Paraense notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Lupere FC - DMZ's José Munhoz. José Munhoz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 82 minutes, Romário Gol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lupere FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romário Gol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 88 played minutes Barrio Norte FC got a freekick which was hit by Telo Metou. 91 minutes into the game, Lupere FC - DMZ's Romário Gol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernán Albonico made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barrio Norte FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lupere FC - DMZ.
