With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ted Borker in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg César Châtelain saved Coriano FC from getting behind. In the 4th match minute, Coriano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Alonzi to maneuver through the defense. Ted Borker struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. César Châtelain didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ágætis Byrjun. César Châtelain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Borker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberigo Alonzi got free with Maraman Reitsma in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute Black Death shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maraman Reitsma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ágætis Byrjun were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Coriano FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ted Borker took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ted Borker got away a dangerous shot. Despite this César Châtelain quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 18th minute of the match Ágætis Byrjun got a corner. Coriano FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ted Borker ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ted Borker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Châtelain having to interfere. Maraman Reitsma came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Coriano FC's Alberigo Alonzi. But to his dismay, Alberigo Alonzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Maraman Reitsma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Black Death, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laurens Erenstein in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg César Châtelain saved Coriano FC from getting behind. Ágætis Byrjun's Maraman Reitsma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Black Death in the 33rd minute of play. Ennio Caracciolo made in the 39th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ágætis Byrjun's Ton Kort. Aldo Caligaris kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Ted Borker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. César Châtelain was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ágætis Byrjun's Lucien de Ridder quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Enrico Bracco, made in the 51st minute of the game. César Châtelain came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Ágætis Byrjun's Ted Borker. But to his dismay, Ted Borker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ágætis Byrjun's Maraman Reitsma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberigo Alonzi in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Coriano FC's Antonello Desiderio got a free kick in the 60th minute. A collision led to Coriano FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Antonello Desiderio hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Coriano FC's goalkeeper César Châtelain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ted Borker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Patrick van der Valk replaced Laurens Erenstein. After 75 played minutes Coriano FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Vittorio. In the 77th minute, Bruno Vittorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Coriano FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ernesto Gaudino hit a great ball. Bruno Vittorio hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Jelle Vrieling hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Alonzi came free, but Maraman Reitsma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. César Châtelain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted Borker in the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ágætis Byrjun's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antonello Desiderio was slow to take the kick. During this time Coriano FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ágætis Byrjun's goalie and right to Alberigo Alonzi. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ágætis Byrjun's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. César Châtelain made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ted Borker in the 95th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Coriano FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
