Denis Snow was slow to take the kick. During this time ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚'s players had a chance to rest. Kai Østbye could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Mugur Aanicăi made a huge save. If Serafino Gartzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Denis Snow came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Snow couldn't finish the play. A collision led to ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚ getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Gustavo Lombardi hit a great ball. With a little luck, ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚'s Mugur Aanicăi got control of the ball when Kai Østbye tried to sneak it across the goal line. ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚'s Everardo Regis got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mugur Aanicăi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Kenneth Heistad in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match Brufoss IL got a corner. ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Christer Ribe ran over to the corner to take the kick. Elpidio Snow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borys Witek having to interfere. With a little luck, ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚'s Mugur Aanicăi got control of the ball when Kai Østbye tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚ getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Apolo Rameriz hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Markham got free with Mugur Aanicăi in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚'s goalkeeper Mugur Aanicăi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Markham. Mugur Aanicăi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Markham in the 42nd minute. Borys Witek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Snow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Everardo Regis to make the kick off. Elpidio Snow's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Borys Witek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. After having played for 52 minutes, Jan-Kenneth Heistad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brufoss IL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Kenneth Heistad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Apolo Rameriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute Kai Østbye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Aanicăi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 minutes, Everardo Regis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚ and the Brufoss IL players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚ getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Everardo Regis hit a great ball. Brufoss IL made a substitution. Eilert Grønseth replaced Kevin Strømsnes. Brufoss IL's Vetle Nygård was substituted for Jan-Kenneth Heistad. After 66 played minutes ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚ got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Regis. Kent Remme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mugur Aanicăi having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Brufoss IL's Eilert Grønseth got a free kick in the 68th minute. Borys Witek came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚'s Apolo Rameriz. But to his dismay, Apolo Rameriz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Borys Witek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Regis in the 77th minute of play. If Everardo Regis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Frode Tobiassen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Aanicăi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84 played minutes ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚ got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Gartzi. When Emanuel Markham came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Brufoss IL fans jumped to their feet. Borys Witek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Snow, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
