La Vuelta del Malon's Abelardo Erlantz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bidun Cases in the 39th minute of play. Krzysztof Hajduk struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Txurio Herrero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Vuelta del Malon. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felix Larren made a kick off. Germán Casado kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Abelardo Erlantz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bidun Cases, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Gonzalo Bizoso charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonzalo Bizoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Sociedad Anónima's Bidun Cases slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abelardo Erlantz. That made the score 1-4 after 85 minutes of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sociedad Anónima eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
