In the 3rd minute, Alexander Pavia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Camporioccio VS's zone, Krzysztof Hajduk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferruccio Moretta came out of the goal and Krzysztof Hajduk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Zachary Rywin came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Camporioccio VS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zachary Rywin couldn't finish the play. Ferruccio Moretta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stoyo Abazov, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Krzysztof Hajduk in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferruccio Moretta saved Camporioccio VS from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Krzysztof Hajduk put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ferruccio Moretta. The Camporioccio VS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferruccio Moretta should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
