An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Jäckel in the 5th minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Manoel Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Jovens Democratas MZC's Xu Li Sang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tjark Ernst made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Jäckel came free, but Manoel Neuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 10 in the game by Xu Li Sang from a close distance when the talented Tjark Ernst managed to make a qualified save. Hertha 1969's players were relieved. 10 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Durval de Queirós came free, but Tjark Ernst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tjark Ernst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval de Queirós in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hendrik Behloch in the 18th minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Manoel Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manoel Neuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Jäckel, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Manoel Neuer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Jäckel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Xu Li Sang came free, but Tjark Ernst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Xu Li Sang sped through Hertha 1969's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tjark Ernst. After a rather tough play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Dominik Szoboszlai got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute of the match Hendrik Behloch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manoel Neuer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Simon Stiehl hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32nd match minute, Hertha 1969 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lara Scherz to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute Hendrik Behloch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tjark Ernst came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Jovens Democratas MZC's Xu Li Sang. But to his dismay, Xu Li Sang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Adam Jäckel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Manoel Neuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Stripf, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Jäckel came free, but Manoel Neuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Adam Jäckel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manoel Neuer was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Puyol during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Marco van Basten took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tjark Ernst. Tjark Ernst dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Marco van Basten scored 6-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tjark Ernst, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute Marco van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tjark Ernst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tjark Ernst came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Jovens Democratas MZC's Marco van Basten. But to his dismay, Marco van Basten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Jovens Democratas MZC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
