With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Araya prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nacional's Hugo Araya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Nacional from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Nacional's Hugo Araya got control of the ball when Jörn Helström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Haakon á Borg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Carneiro in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Carneiro in the 35th minute of play forced Cura del Futbol's goalkeeper Haakon á Borg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cura del Futbol's Haakon á Borg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Carneiro in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Jörn Helström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cura del Futbol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nacional the free kick. The supporters of Nacional booed when Cura del Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörn Helström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cura del Futbol's Haakon á Borg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Inverso in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonzalo Carneiro was the one to do the kick off. Haakon á Borg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonzalo Carneiro in the 50th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Leo Canor in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Nacional's Mateo Antoni. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Carneiro in the 61st minute of play forced Cura del Futbol's goalkeeper Haakon á Borg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luciano Inverso hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Antoni Poteralski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th play minute Gonzalo Carneiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Haakon á Borg. 0-1. With a little luck, Cura del Futbol's Haakon á Borg got control of the ball when Gonzalo Carneiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th minute, Joey Real hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nacional walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
