An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Martorella in the 6th minute of play forced Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goalkeeper Albino Maiorga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute Santoryu FC were awarded a corner. Aurelio Martorella went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ettore Tieri during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 played minutes Santoryu FC got a freekick which was hit by Ettore Tieri. Santo Gonzo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Cătălin Ioanițiu made a huge save. Albino Maiorga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Martorella in the 19th minute of play. Cătălin Ioanițiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santo Gonzo in the 21st minute of the match. Albino Maiorga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmondo Pittelli in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tolek Mlekodaj in the 28th minute of play forced Santoryu FC's goalkeeper Cătălin Ioanițiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Santoryu FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrea Mastrangelo. Cătălin Ioanițiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tolek Mlekodaj in the 35th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goal looked a bit too open when Grzegorz Grzelak came free, but Albino Maiorga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cătălin Ioanițiu made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Santo Gonzo sent off a good shot on target. Albino Maiorga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmondo Pittelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmondo Pittelli made a kick off. In the 58th match minute, Santoryu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ettore Tieri to maneuver through the defense. Santoryu FC's Cătălin Ioanițiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolek Mlekodaj in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ton Meulman to maneuver through the defense. Camillo Punta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Albino Maiorga. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 63 minutes, Tolek Mlekodaj managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tolek Mlekodaj was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute Santo Gonzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Ioanițiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Aurelio Martorella managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santoryu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Martorella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albino Maiorga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene made a substitution. Gaspar Pomelov replaced Tolek Mlekodaj. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Tomás Idacio was substituted for Ademar Cosme. Pece Etoo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. A hard shot by Aurelio Martorella from long distance, 79 minutes into the match, got Albino Maiorga's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Albino Maiorga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmondo Pittelli in the 81st minute of play. If Cesar Teofilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 86 minutes, Cesar Teofilio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesar Teofilio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cătălin Ioanițiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Teofilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Santoryu FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Santoryu FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
