In the 3rd minute Luis Gaymer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manúel Bento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Oliverios Marcilla came free, but Luis Alberto Lazcano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Luis Alberto Lazcano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportes Santa Cruz from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Dogelo getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Justino Dabi hit a great ball. In the 14th minute of the match Aurelio Antonioletti shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manúel Bento showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Ahmet Danış Garipbaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Alberto Lazcano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Gaymer in the 16th minute of play forced Dogelo's goalkeeper Manúel Bento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Ahmet Danış Garipbaş cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Luis Alberto Lazcano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Luis Alberto Lazcano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 24th minute, Oliverios Marcilla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Alberto Lazcano was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Luis Alberto Lazcano made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Oliverios Marcilla sent off a good shot on target. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Luis Alberto Lazcano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportes Santa Cruz from getting a goal against them. Oliverios Marcilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 33rd minute Ahmet Danış Garipbaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Alberto Lazcano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Alberto Lazcano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Danış Garipbaş's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. If Mercurio Pasos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elazar Dighero to strike the kick off in the second half. Luis Alberto Lazcano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliverios Marcilla in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 57th minute Oliverios Marcilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Alberto Lazcano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Alberto Lazcano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliverios Marcilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Alberto Lazcano came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Dogelo's Oliverios Marcilla. But to his dismay, Oliverios Marcilla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Club Deportes Santa Cruz made a substitution. Bairon Mateluna replaced Elazar Dighero. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Romildo Madrid was substituted for Mercurio Pasos. Luis Alberto Lazcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Danış Garipbaş in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of Dogelo booed when Club Deportes Santa Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaume Berecedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliverios Marcilla in the 71st minute of play forced Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Luis Alberto Lazcano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 minutes of play, Dogelo's Ahmet Danış Garipbaş made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luis Alberto Lazcano was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Oliverios Marcilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dogelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliverios Marcilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Alberto Lazcano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luis Alberto Lazcano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Danış Garipbaş in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Oliverios Marcilla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dogelo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bairon Mateluna got free with Manúel Bento in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dogelo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Deportes Santa Cruz had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
