Rutger Cane didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Josef Vrobel went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Kjønstad BF getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Tamer Aksel hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Stakbröte's Christian Alström got a free kick in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Toma Lechev notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Stakbröte's Rutger Cane. Rutger Cane was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Toma Lechev kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rutger Cane. That made the score 5-0 in the 20 minute of play. After some careless play in the Stakbröte defense, Thor Gaarder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rutger Cane. The Stakbröte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rutger Cane should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Toma Lechev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kjønstad BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Toma Lechev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rutger Cane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The corner led Kjønstad BF's Nechifor Mangra to fire away a dangerous shot which Rutger Cane despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Abelardo Odon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Toma Lechev put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rutger Cane. After a rather tough play, Stakbröte's Verner Sundin got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toma Lechev in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rutger Cane saved Stakbröte from getting behind. Kjønstad BF made a substitution. Reidar Nordhaug replaced Toma Lechev. Kjønstad BF's Pedro Luís Peixoto quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Verner Sundin, made in the 68th minute of the game. Kjønstad BF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
