Marius Larsen was slow to take the kick. During this time Kjønstad BF's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Kjønstad BF's Nechifor Mangra got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 39th minute of the match Kjønstad BF got a corner. Spams's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marius Larsen ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thor Gaarder in the 42nd minute of play forced Spams's goalkeeper Faustino Jerold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Spams made a substitution. Adrián Guillermo replaced Amancio Feliu.
