The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of T H F C booed when FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Ivasiuc didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jonny Dexter 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Jonny Dexter received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marian Bălan came out and tried to block the shot, but Jonny Dexter slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 13th minute. After a defensive mix-up in T H F C's zone, Mădălin Buzgar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Radcliffe came out of the goal and Mădălin Buzgar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 played minutes FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt got a freekick which was hit by Martin Costache. In the 21st minute, Jo Timiney made a precise shot to the right of Marian Bălan. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After 24 played minutes FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt got a freekick which was hit by Cătălin Vieru. A collision led to FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Valeriu Fărcașu hit a great ball. Dan Cocârlă kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Marian Bălan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonny Dexter in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of T H F C booed when FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Costache didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonny Dexter might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marian Bălan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonny Dexter ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47thth minute of the game Jonny Dexter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Marian Bălan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Corneliu Druga was the one to do the kick off. T H F C's Dan Radcliffe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mădălin Buzgar in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute Jonny Dexter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Bălan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jo Timiney in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marian Bălan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonny Dexter hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, T H F C's Jo Timiney got a free kick in the 60th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonny Dexter in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marian Bălan saved FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt from getting behind. 63 minutes into the game, Jo Timiney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. T H F C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt the free kick. After a rather tough play, T H F C's Jo Timiney got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The referee showed Roger Lamb the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th match minute, T H F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Lamb to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the T H F C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
