The audience was convinced that Corneliu Druga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Simone was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Amos Colucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Marian Bălan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Mădălin Buzgar hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Mădălin Buzgar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Marian Bălan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Conte in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Anfilogino Tenaglia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marian Bălan. Anfilogino Tenaglia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Concetto Vasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Bălan having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Eugenio Conte managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugenio Conte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marian Bălan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eugenio Conte did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Marian Bălan 23 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugenio Conte got free with Marian Bălan in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anfilogino Tenaglia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugenio Conte came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marian Bălan could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's zone, Eugenio Conte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marian Bălan came out of the goal and Eugenio Conte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Cătălin Vieru got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugenio Conte to strike the kick off in the second half. Antonio Simone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Corneliu Druga in the 52nd minute. The supporters of A.S. Ian Fenomeni booed when FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriu Fărcașu didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Marian Bălan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Conte in the 59th minute of play. Concetto Vasco kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Eugenio Conte sped through FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marian Bălan. Anfilogino Tenaglia scored 4-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marian Bălan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Vlad Buhuș suffered a fractured collar bone after 81 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Edoardo Pelati fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.S. Ian Fenomeni's protests and gave Edoardo Pelati a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric Rușanu during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of A.S. Ian Fenomeni booed when FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorin Chirtoacă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marian Bălan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugenio Conte's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. When the referee ended the match the A.S. Ian Fenomeni players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
