The tension between the Pan FC and the Matungo Gaúcho players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 4 played minutes Pan FC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Gamus. 5 minutes into the match, Pan FC's goalkeeper Arsenio Osorio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toninho Vale. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleto Iaki in the 7th minute of play forced Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Zé de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breno Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. A collision led to Matungo Gaúcho getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Breno Velloso hit a great ball. Zé de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cafu Soares in the 11th minute of the match. Cido da Rocha made in the 18th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Dário da Cunha. In the 20th minute, Nando De la Peña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matungo Gaúcho's Zé de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Iaki in the 21st minute of play. Zé de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cafu Soares in the 23rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Matungo Gaúcho defense, Cleto Iaki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé de Senna. The Matungo Gaúcho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé de Senna should have stopped the shot. Pedro Luís da Mata made in the 29th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Breno Velloso immediately put the ball in play. In the 34th minute, Cleto Iaki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé de Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Matungo Gaúcho's Zé de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Iaki in the 40th minute of play. Zé de Senna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cleto Iaki went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cafu Soares made a kick off. With splendid footwork Cleto Iaki arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-5 by the left pole in the game's 54th minute. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Cleto Iaki took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Zé de Senna to make any attempt to save it. A sloppy throw-in by Pedro Luís da Mata in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pan FC's Gustavo Gamus. Arnaldo Cedro hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Matungo Gaúcho's Abelardo de Lara quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Evelio Txaran, made in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 74th minute, Amílton Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cleto Iaki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zé de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleto Iaki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís da Mata threw the ball into play from the sideline. Pan FC's Nando De la Peña quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Zé de Senna was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cleto Iaki showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 82 minute of play. Pan FC's Ramon Rufio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pedro Luís da Mata in the 87 minute of the game. When %teams%'s Cleto Iaki was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 0-9 just inside the left pole, 88 minutes into the game. Zé de Senna was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. After 92 played minutes Pan FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Rufio. Gustavo Gamus was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Matungo Gaúcho booed when Pan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Gamus didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Pan FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pan FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
