Olimpiu Cupșa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé de Senna having to interfere. Matungo Gaúcho's Abelardo de Lara managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Niculae Luncașu in the 11 minute of the game. Breno Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisc Trăilă having to interfere. Edmílson Nóbrega was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Matungo Gaúcho fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Augustin Boșneag could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Zé de Senna made a huge save. Zé de Senna made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Irinel Poenaru sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Romanian Gods™'s Zé de Senna threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Basarab Logofeteanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Matungo Gaúcho's Zé de Senna got control of the ball when Irinel Poenaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute Nilmar Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisc Trăilă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romanian Gods™'s Francisc Trăilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar Andrade in the 41st minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Codruț Pușcariu could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Zé de Senna however easily saved by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Irinel Poenaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Zé de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute Luca Huștea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 played minutes Romanian Gods™ got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Cupșa. 61 minutes into the game, Abelardo de Lara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Francisc Trăilă. Abelardo de Lara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Nilmar Andrade scored 2-3 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisc Trăilă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 69 minutes into the game, Niculae Luncașu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Matungo Gaúcho's Nilmar Andrade quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Francisc Trăilă was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Nilmar Andrade capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nilmar Andrade really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. Luca Huștea scored 3-4 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé de Senna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zé de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irinel Poenaru in the 79th minute of play. Matungo Gaúcho's attentive Breno Velloso managed to snatch the ball when Mihail Calota made a throw-in in the 81st minute of the game. Francisc Trăilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Breno Velloso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Francisc Trăilă. The goal made the score 3-5. Zé de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustin Boșneag in the 95th minute of play. Basarab Logofeteanu scored 4-5 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé de Senna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Matungo Gaúcho eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
