When Camillo Tellini came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Kroton F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camillo Tellini couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felice Di Federico in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joey Bush prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kroton F.C.'s Concetto Di Giulio got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexander Granato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elia Losito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Thomas in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute River tu grato nombre were awarded a corner. Blaine Creech went to the cornerflag to take it. Blaine Creech made a great header on River tu grato nombre's corner, it was just that Kroton F.C.'s Elia Losito managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 28th match minute, Kroton F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Balboni to maneuver through the defense. Concetto Di Giulio's late challenge caught a River tu grato nombre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joey Bush showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camillo Tellini in the 48th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The wind increased when Felice Di Federico made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper Joey Bush, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ercole Di Febo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kroton F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ercole Di Febo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joey Bush breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Davide Zangari ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joey Bush was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With a little luck, River tu grato nombre's Joey Bush got control of the ball when Cristiano Ciarrocchi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elia Losito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stacey Eason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 74 minutes, Federico Balboni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kroton F.C. and the River tu grato nombre players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Kroton F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
