A collision led to CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Faustão Alagoano hit a great ball. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Gláuber Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stasys Povilaitis in the 10th minute of play. Simamane LuaLua's late challenge caught a FC COSA NOSTRA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simamane LuaLua helped the player get up and apologised. Gytis Vilimavičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hudson Abreu in the 18th minute of play. Gláuber Mattos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aloyzas Jučas in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Stasys Povilaitis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gláuber Mattos. Stasys Povilaitis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 25th minute, Tony Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Luís Paulo Paiva hit a great ball. Virginijus Žalpys struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Gláuber Mattos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC COSA NOSTRA. 36 minutes into the game, Stasys Povilaitis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Gláuber Mattos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 44 minutes into the game, Hudson Abreu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Gytis Vilimavičius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stasys Povilaitis was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Mazen Vella Bonavita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gytis Vilimavičius. Gytis Vilimavičius yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. Gláuber Mattos came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by FC COSA NOSTRA's Stasys Povilaitis. But to his dismay, Stasys Povilaitis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. After a rather tough play, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Mazen Vella Bonavita got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Hudson Abreu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Gytis Vilimavičius skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Hudson Abreu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gytis Vilimavičius. That made the score 4-4 in the 74 minute of play. Gláuber Mattos came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by FC COSA NOSTRA's Stasys Povilaitis. But to his dismay, Stasys Povilaitis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-4. Gláuber Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stasys Povilaitis in the 84th minute of the match. If Hudson Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC COSA NOSTRA's Gytis Jankevičius got a free kick in the 89th minute. Hudson Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gytis Vilimavičius having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Mattos to maneuver through the defense. FC COSA NOSTRA's Gytis Vilimavičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hudson Abreu in the 95th minute of play. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
