The referee showed Simamane LuaLua the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Simamane LuaLua kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after S.C.PAULISTA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frederico Mattos took the corner. In the 30th minute Hudson Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Luís Paulo Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Hudson Abreu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flávio Fantini. S.C.PAULISTA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hudson Abreu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hudson Abreu in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flávio Fantini saved S.C.PAULISTA from getting behind. In the 38th minute, Hudson Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flávio Fantini was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Acácio Alves to strike the kick off in the second half. When Róbson de Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C.PAULISTA's protests and gave Róbson de Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. Róbson de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Flávio Fantini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hudson Abreu's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C.PAULISTA's goalkeeper Flávio Fantini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in S.C.PAULISTA's zone, Frederico Mattos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio Fantini came out of the goal and Frederico Mattos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flávio Fantini made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Hudson Abreu sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 84 in the game by Hudson Abreu from a close distance when the talented Flávio Fantini managed to make a qualified save. S.C.PAULISTA's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Simamane LuaLua took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Flávio Fantini to make any attempt to save it. 94 minutes into the match, S.C.PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Hudson Abreu came free, but Flávio Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for S.C.PAULISTA! S.C.PAULISTA:s Flávio Fantini showed great skill when he stopped Frederico Mattos:s penalty. The S.C.PAULISTA supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's performance. The match ended with a win for CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE.
