This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Flávio Fantini as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a little luck, S.C.PAULISTA's Flávio Fantini got control of the ball when Cássio França tried to sneak it across the goal line. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Cássio França was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 10th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After having played for 15 minutes, Clemente Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Prestes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cássio França's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flávio Fantini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Róbson de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of S.C.PAULISTA booed when CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazen Vella Bonavita didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cássio França came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio França couldn't finish the play. A collision led to CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Fernando Piquerez hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Fernando Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th match minute, S.C.PAULISTA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Borges to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Acácio Alves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C.PAULISTA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 35th minute, Cássio França reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Flávio Fantini. The goal made the score 3-1. In the 41st minute, Cássio França got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cássio França who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Flávio Fantini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 53 minutes, Simamane LuaLua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simamane LuaLua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 55 minutes into the game, S.C.PAULISTA's Fernando Prado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gláuber Mattos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Acácio Alves took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gláuber Mattos. Gláuber Mattos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Cássio França kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Jean Borges hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Cássio França might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flávio Fantini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cássio França ran back to his position shaking his head. Cássio França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Fantini having to interfere. Fernando Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Flávio Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simamane LuaLua in the 82nd minute of the match. After 83 minutes S.C.PAULISTA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frederico Mattos who took care of the corner kick. Simamane LuaLua struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Flávio Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE. S.C.PAULISTA's Flávio Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simamane LuaLua in the 86th minute of play. Flávio Fantini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mazen Vella Bonavita went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. Simamane LuaLua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Fantini having to interfere. Flávio Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio França in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE had played much better football throughout.
