Rodo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blas Bolaños was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th minute, Blas Bolaños got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eulalio Theobald hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Vidal Ximeno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's supporters rose to their feet, but Vidal Ximeno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Berto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olando Marty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Gonzo in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute Vincent Ørkild shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olando Marty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan-Carlos Otero during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Juan-Carlos Otero got a free kick in the 25th minute. Anastasio Ixidor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Olando Marty. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Blas Bolaños could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Manuel Berto made a huge save. The Club Dep. Soc. Rodo fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Blas Bolaños looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 29th match minute, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloi Fontanes to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Vincent Ørkild left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Super Penalitop fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 33rd minute, Vasco Larrangos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Super Penalitop's goalkeeper Manuel Berto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manuel Berto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blas Bolaños in the 44th minute. Manuel Berto didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Blas Bolaños shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blas Bolaños in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Berto saved Super Penalitop from getting behind. Vincent Ørkild might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olando Marty. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vincent Ørkild ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th minute Donatello Barajo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Berto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Blas Bolaños got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Super Penalitop booed when Club Dep. Soc. Rodo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donatello Barajo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Super Penalitop getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Alejo Olivar hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Super Penalitop's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Bolaños came free, but Manuel Berto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Gonchan Marisancena got a free kick in the 93rd minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo fully deserved thier win.
