Jörgen Olofsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santio Cabello, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Karim Sifi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sivert Bollström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erik Busk came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Karim Sifi could save by the left post. John Ödmann hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Karim Sifi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Busk in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute Inacio Caldevilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörgen Olofsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wargön reached it. In the 31st match minute, Wargön was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Ove Bruhn to maneuver through the defense. Karim Sifi made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Erik Busk sent off a good shot on target. Santio Cabello scored 0-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jörgen Olofsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute, Juan Manuel Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Karim Sifi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Karim Sifi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elliott Ekelund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kenneth Lange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santio Cabello during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Santio Cabello hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Nova Soccer's Karim Sifi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliott Ekelund in the 81st minute of play. After taking down the ball on Wargön's corner Gustaf Flink fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Karim Sifi quite easily take care of the ball. Wargön's Gustaf Flink was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Karim Sifi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Karim Sifi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliott Ekelund in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th match minute, Wargön was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sivert Bollström to maneuver through the defense. Jörgen Olofsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inacio Caldevilla in the 97th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Wargön lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
