The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a left leg Vinicio Bidari saved The Old Boys from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Baturhan Erozan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santa Luis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Resul Yalın made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, The Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Hakkı Devrim Akkan came free, but Vinicio Bidari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faruk Ceyhan in the 28th minute of play forced The Old Boys's goalkeeper Vinicio Bidari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Ahmet Hasan Tanju shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Bidari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Jairo Lizar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Resul Yalın was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jairo Lizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Resul Yalın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faruk Ceyhan made a kick off. The Old Boys's Justo Perpinya got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 65 minutes, Jairo Lizar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Old Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Lizar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vinicio Bidari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baturhan Erozan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Santa Luis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80thth minute of the game Santa Luis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gold Raiders FC's Resul Yalın was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Jacobo Gomesano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Old Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gold Raiders FC the free kick. After 80 played minutes The Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Gomesano. Silvio Birjaio charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvio Birjaio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gold Raiders FC booed when The Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Birjaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vinicio Bidari made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Orkun Okanalp sent off a good shot on target. Vinicio Bidari made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faruk Ceyhan in the 86th minute.
