A collision led to Milanis E.C. getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Davi Camargo hit a great ball. After 11 minutes, Olof Löfkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Protegéerna and the Milanis E.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 11 played minutes Protegéerna got a freekick which was hit by Olof Löfkvist. Holger Johnsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, Milanis E.C.'s Zé Carlos da Cunha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 20th match minute, Protegéerna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magnus Gustavsson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 21 minutes, Augusto das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Milanis E.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Carlos da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Ian Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Protegéerna's goalkeeper Holger Johnsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Paulão Porto came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Milanis E.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulão Porto couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Paulão Porto scored 3-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Holger Johnsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th minute, Zé Carlos da Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Carlos da Cunha scored 4-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Holger Johnsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sven Skark recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bebeto Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo-Erik Springfält in the 64th minute of play. When Sven Skark came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Protegéerna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven Skark couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Protegéerna's Oscar Löfgren got a free kick in the 68th minute. Holger Johnsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldão Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chicão Matorin hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Protegéerna's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos da Cunha came free, but Holger Johnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Holger Johnsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos da Cunha in the 76th minute of the match. Zé Carlos da Cunha took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Holger Johnsson. Holger Johnsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After 84 played minutes Milanis E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Chicão Matorin. In the 86th minute, Olof Löfkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronaldão Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Charlie Apelquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Milanis E.C. were the better team. Milanis E.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
