Lucio Serapio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 16 minutes into the game, Granate's Celso Turi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nikulás Benediktsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabin Corcoveanu in the 20th minute of play forced Granate's goalkeeper Agustin Abastas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucio Serapio in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nikulás Benediktsson saved Club Vertigo from getting behind. Club Vertigo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Celso Turi scored to the left of an out of position Nikulás Benediktsson, making the score, 3-0. Club Vertigo's Nikulás Benediktsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Serapio in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucio Serapio made a kick off. Nikulás Benediktsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sabin Corcoveanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Agustin Abastas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Agustin Abastas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nistor Iftimescu in the 63rd minute of the match. Nikulás Benediktsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Serapio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikulás Benediktsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Serapio, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Agustin Abastas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nistor Iftimescu in the 74th minute of the match. After 76 minutes of play, Granate's Amador Luzea made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nikulás Benediktsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 79 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Turi came free, but Nikulás Benediktsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeo Galiceanu charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeo Galiceanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Romeo Galiceanu hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Club Vertigo defense, Isaac Bladi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nikulás Benediktsson. The Club Vertigo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nikulás Benediktsson should have stopped the shot. Club Vertigo's Nikulás Benediktsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Turi in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that Granate were the better team. Granate's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
